Net for Business Global DNS Service

Websites with high up time requirements need a bullet-proof DNS setup. Net for Business provides such a service to its clients. Normal DNS relies on two or three servers often close to the server hosting the website, email or FTP.

N4B through its partners provides an integrated solution that gives access to advanced DNS services around the world. The three primary DNS servers in Australia are augmented with slave clusters in San Jose, Boston, Detroit and London. Other and extra clusters are also available should you require a tailored solution.

As well as providing these services N4B monitors them to ensure nothing untoward is occurring in the system. Action is taken based on the terms of our clients service level agreement.

Having several slave DNS servers around the world requires careful management and while we have sophisticated management tools these are not normally made available to the general public, instead we make the changes on the clients behalf. Up to four changes per year are made at no charge to the customer.

Any change made to one of our client's DNS records is first made on our Australian #1 server and once this has been completed we automatically refresh the other servers in Australia and around the world. The advantage of this is that key geographic areas become aware of the change far faster than a normal single location setup and the new information is therefore propagated far faster through the regions and around the world. If one of the servers groups goes offline for what ever reason the others take up the slack. Where there are anomalies in routing too this setup ensures that access speeds and route optimization are as fast as possible.

1. To change your DNS record customers simply email our global DNS team. Our team is available in normal Australian business hours and requests are responded to during these times within 4 hours.
   
2. Where 24/7 support is required this too is available. We provide an email to SMS link that will notify our DNS of your requirement instantly. We commit to respond to this request within four hours on a 24/7 basis.
   
3. N4B business monitors our servers around the globe in real time. We provide a warning and issue service to those client who chose the 24/7 support package.
